As soon as you hear the gong, you run toward the Cornucopia. Vot is the point of being in the Games vithout a weaponn? you think.
You can see some other Tributes coming at you but it isn’t hard for you to get rid of them and their attacks. You tackle Goyle, who you know must be already in an alliance with Malfoy, who is probably using him as a shield not to face you himself. You choose to leave him there and go for the wand instead of killing him; for the look on his face, he won’t come near you any time soon.
When you get to the Cornucopia, you see that Diggory has already gotten there and is now running away; but Potter is as close to his wand as you are to yours. You both grab the objects at the same time and point at each other, careful of every move and trying to read each other’s intention.
But then you see he’s not alone.
It’s not the company that bothers you, it’s who you see, just a couple of meters away from him: Hermione Granger. If you kill Potter, you will have to kill her, as well; and she would never accept an alliance with someone whose spell killed her friend, not even if her life depended on it.
“Momentary truce, Potter?” you say, not putting away your wand, just in case.
He seems confused; he doesn’t know whether to believe you or not.
“Why?” he asks you, his wand still pointing firmly at you.
“It vouldn’t be fun if ve killed each other now, vould it?” you lie, knowing feelings can be a dangerous weakness on the battlefield.
“Harry! There’s no time!” Hermione shouts from the distance.
You then get to see someone is fighting not so far from where she is, probably Ron Weasley.
“Momentary truce,” Potter chooses to believe you, turning around to help his friend.
You turn around as well, just when someone is approaching you with a Bludger Bat in her hands, aiming toward your head.
“CONFRINGO!” you cast the spell, watching as the weapon explodes in flames right in the girl’s hands and makes her fall on her back with burns over her body.
The explosion and the bleeding body of Angelina Johnson works as a warning: you have your wand and you are not afraid to use it. That allows you to take a backpack and escape the battlefield, as far away as you can from the threat of having to fight someone else…especially someone in Potter’s alliance.
You run toward the east, where you can see a field of tall grass where you can hide. Before you reach it, you catch a glimpse of something that may have been hard to notice for someone else, but you knew it too well: a lake. You decide to head straight to the field anyway, and as soon as you enter, you realize someone is following you.
Turning your back as fast as you can, you point your wand at your enemy, who has her hands up in surrender already.
“I just want to talk,” Fleur Delacour’s voice sounds scared, yet confident. When she has your attention, she says, hoping you won’t hurt her, “I want to be your ally.”
You know you could use her help; her skills make up for your weaknesses–you need someone who can be more strategic. But there’s something somber about her that you know: she is part Veela and manipulating men is easy for her. You–a fighter, not a thinker–are not as strong in reading people, and could be an easy prey for her. If she works with you, you both would be able to complement each other in what you need to win; but if she betrays you, she could turn into a mortal enemy.
Should you:
A.) Fight against her
or
B.) Form an alliance with her
