You stand upon a platform, facing a giant golden horn thing. Wormtail, your mentor, has told you that it’s a cornucopia but you, especially at this moment, don’t care as you spot the multitude of wands and weapons and other supplies inside. A club, a sword, a hammer…all of which you could use to smash your opponents to bloody masses. They’re unused, polished, and completely suitable to your own physical qualities. You disregard the wands as you know you’re not the best wizard to think of spells quickly under pressure but think that you might as well grab one anyway.
You’re tempted and you now know you stand a chance. Fighting off the urge to run for the tools at the moment because you apparently will surely die if you move too early, you try to distract yourself. “It’s sunny,” you think to yourself. “And there’s a forest behind me.”
Not one to appreciate beauty, you turn your attention back to more important matters even though it makes you more anxious. Surrounding the golden horn as well are your fellow tributes. 1, 2, 3, 4, you count…but then stop. All you need to know is that they are your enemies and that you must destroy them. And it’s not like you were ever a great mathematician anyway.
On your right, past Pansy Parkinson, you see Crabbe with a clueless expression smeared upon his face. Only a bit past him is Draco Malfoy. He’s the one you can trust, you think. He’s never led you wrong before, right?
You must ally with him in the end, you think. This is what was always planned between you and him and this was reasonable as well. You bring the brute strength and he brings the cleverness. He will lead you to victory. How the Hunger Games may end between you and him, you don’t know. You just know that he is the leader and that it’s just good for you to follow him.
The gong sounds. Time’s up.
A.) Go to the Cornucopia and grab weapons and a wand
B.) Run away
